Disney’s Winnie the Pooh made its world premiere in 2021 at Theatre Row in New York City. Entertainment Weekly called it “a whimsical delight with brilliant puppetry”; The New York Times called it “enchanting”; and WhatsOnStage declared it a show “that truly spans the generations”. The musical received both Drama Desk and OBA nominations.
After debuting in New York in 2021, the show transferred to Chicago in 2022. It has toured the United States, including a six week holiday engagement at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles, before returning to New York for a subsequent summer engagement.
Pooh and his friends made their UK debut in London in 2023, breaking box office records, before touring the United Kingdom and Ireland. Subsequent productions have toured Australia and Belgium.
The Japan production of Winnie the Pooh will open in 2024.
