FULL SYNOPSIS

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

A very hungry newborn caterpillar eats his way through the week through fruits and delicious treats until he gets a stomachache. He eats a green leaf to sooth his stomach and spins a chrysalis for himself. After two weeks, he emerges from his cocoon as a beautiful butterfly.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear

A Brown Bear and various animals (Blue Horse, Red Bird, Purple Cat, etc.) are asked what they see which is usually another animal.

10 Little Rubber Ducks

A box of 10 yellow rubber ducks leaves their factory and are placed on a cargo ship. After a storm causes them to fall overboard, their box opens and they drift into different directions across the ocean. The rubber ducks meet a variety of creatures of the sea such as a dolphin, octopus, pelican and a whale.

The Very Busy Spider

A spider, blown by the wind lands on a farm. She decides to spin a web. While spinning, she is visited by several curious and playful farm animals who ask her to participate in various activities. The spider remains focused, busy spinning on her web. She completes her beautiful web which promptly catches a fly. The spider falls asleep after a very busy day.

The Artist Who Painted A Blue Horse

In this celebration of creative freedom and imagination, an artist paints an array of animals in bright and fanciful colors. After painting characters such as a Blue Horse, Red Crocodile and Green Lion, the painter delights in knowing that he is a good artist.

Mister Seahorse

Mister Seahorse is a soon-to-be father who promises Mrs. Seahorse that he will do a very good job of carrying and protecting their eggs. After laying the eggs in his pouch, he swims through the ocean and meets other curious marine fathers who are caring for their eggs.

The Very Lonely Firefly

One night, a lonely firefly goes out in search of other fireflies. In his search, he finds many lit objects glowing like candles or lanterns, but not other fireflies. He eventually finds a group of firefly companions and is happy knowing he belongs.

Dream Snow

A farmer who cares for five barnyard animals dreams that a festive, snowy blanket covers his farm during the holidays. Upon waking, he sees that the snow really did fall. He excitedly puts on a red suit and places presents under the tree for all of his animals.

CASTING

It is most important that the actors possess great stage presence and a playful personality with a strong sense of movement. They should be adept at long passages without sounding repetitive or monotone. The tone should be warm and appealing to both children and adults alike. Each actor puppeteers at least thirteen puppets or objects throughout the performance.
